Overview
The Janitor is responsible for performing the duties necessary to ensure the cleanliness of all building halls, storage areas, vacant apartments, stairways and other public areas. The Janitor receives general supervision and direction from the Manager/Administrator or designee. The Janitor will comply with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Vacuuming, moping, dusting, disinfecting
- Cleaning windows, window treatment, and doors
- Taking out the trash
- Cleaning carpets
- Maintaining equipment and supplies
- Cleaning vacant apartments to prepare quickly for new move-ins
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to operate industrial laundry and carpet cleaning equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
